Sajan Raj Kurup quits Grey to set up new brand communication agency  ( May '23,2007, The Hindustan Times, Mumbai)

A NEW agency with Rs 30 crore of business already signed on, looks like a good start. Sajan Raj Kurup, regional creative director, Grey Worldwide, has quit to start the all-new Creativeland Asia, which will offer brand communication services with advertising as the major function.

It will add on film production, anima tion, content generation and licensing in a phased manner. Ajay Nair, who's quitting as CFO, Leo Burnett, and Vikram Gaikwad, who's quitting creative responsibilities at Grey, are partnering Kurup in the new venture. Creativeland Asia proposes to focus on ‘youth' and ‘Asia' and intends to set up office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in two years' time. In the meanwhile, a strategic alliance in Malaysia is under discussion to cater to clients in Malaysia and nearby countries.
