Swiss camp workshop in Bangalore  ( November '7,2000, HBL)

LES Elfes, an international camp at mountain resorts Verbier, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, has opened a workshop in Bangalore. Les Elfes offers an unique and enriching experience to children and young adults from 10-22 years through its annual summer and winter camps.

Mr Phillippe Stettler, Director, Les Elfes, said the programmes at these camps are designed to give a mix of sports activities, cultural excursions, sightseeing, language studies, and most importantly give children a good, enjoyable experience and an opportunity to make friends from all over the world, in a truly international camp. At present, some 150 students from India, mainly from the north and western parts, participate in these camps annually.

``From this year, we would be expecting some 40 to 50 south Indian students mainly from Bangalore and Chennai,'' he said. Les Elfes, through its representatives and agents is targetting students in international and private schools in the South this year. The average fare per student (exclusive of air travel) works out to nearly $3,000 for a three-week camp, he added.
