Hitex to host Lifestyle show in Madhapur  ( December '6,2005, HBL)

THE Hindu and Eenadu are co-hosting Lifestyle Show 2005 at the Hitex Grounds in Madhapur between December 9 and 12.

The event, being presented by Samsung, will host over 200 stalls showcasing a wide range of consumer and lifestyle goods drawn from national and international brands.

The event is hosted on a sprawling one-lakh sq m area in the Hitex grounds located near the Hitec City.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the General Manager, Advertising & Marketing, Mr L.V. Navaneeth, and Mr C.H. Emmanuel of Eenadu, and executives from Samsung and Siemens, said the show will have lots of exciting and special offers for visitors.

The expo will have a custom-made saree that has been specially crafted for the show. Interestingly, anyone who can give the precise or close to precise number of colours woven into it can actually walk away with it for free. Earlier, a silk saree with 50,000 colours, which was a big hit, was showcased. The event hosts thematic silk sarees mixing traditional motifs with modern design. A specially crafted silk saree that blends traditional artistry with technology with over 1.25 lakh colours was unveiled by RMKV, a silk maker from Chennai.

Mr Navaneeth said the Lifestyle show started in Chennai two years ago had very encouraging response. The newspaper's interactive events such as opportunities fair, pre-counselling workshop for professional courses, and music festivals have been well received.

A fashion show at the Hotel Taj Krishna, ahead of the Lifestyle Show 2005, literally gave a preview of what the show was all about.
