Jindal Photo bets on digital labs for growth  ( October '6,2003, HBL)

JINDAL Photo Films Ltd, which markets and distributes the Fujifilm brand in the country, is betting on its `Frontier digital mini-labs' to provide an impetus to growth in its turnover.

The company is targeting to open 140 such outlets across the country this fiscal, taking its total number of outlets to 200 by the end of the year.

"A high percentage of our turnover is coming from the digital labs. We are targeting a growth of 10 per cent in our turnover this fiscal," says Mr R.B. Pal, Managing Director, Jindal Photo Films Ltd. The company had clocked a turnover of about Rs 443 crore in the last fiscal.

Points out Mr Pal, "The quality in print being offered through these digital labs is unsurpassable. In fact, one can get a good picture quality even if the negative is not in good shape. The software automatically takes care of any irregularities in the picture."
