MICA placement -- Start-up salaries up 60 per cent for ad, marketing  ( March '5,2001, FE)

All the 54 students of the Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad, (MICA) were placed in suitable positions within a record span of four hours.

The average remuneration turned out to be higher by 60 per cent over the previous year with the top four candidates getting Rs 8 lakh per annum from a consultancy unit. Ad agencies like HTA, Lintas, LeoBurnett, Enterprise Nexus and Mudra were prominent apart from market researchleaders like IMRB, ORG-Marg, TNS Mode and Blackstone.

The newcomers included Genesis PR, Blowplast, I-maritime and Elephant Design.
