Hammer & Sohne enters Indian jewellery market  ( July '24,2003, HBL)

The designs were created by Sadhak Shivaanand Saraswati, a prominent spiritual artist.

India's rich cultural tapestry will find a new reflection in gold.

Hammer & Sohne, one of Europe's leading jewellery companies, plans to launch its new range of jewellery in India to mirror the country's cultural and spiritual fabric.

The company's Indian arm, Hammer Plus, launched its first line of spiritual jewellery, Divya Vinayak, an intricately crafted collection of 18 pendants in 22 karat gold and diamonds, each depicting various manifestations of Lord Vinayak. "We have undertaken painstaking study to bring out 18 names that represent Lord Vinayak's true qualities," says Mr Andreas Hammer, Chairman of the company.

The designs were created by Sadhak Shivaanand Saraswati, a prominent spiritual artist, whose paintings are a blend of contemporary style with traditional themes.

Mr Hammer said the next line of products would be pendants depicting `karma' in various forms. "We plan to launch three or four more lines of spiritual jewellery in the course of the next few months," he said..
