InterGold to expand network  ( June '21,2003, HBL)

InterGold, a leading diamond and jewellery retailer, has chalked out a detailed strategy to expand its presence in 54 cities across the country in the next three years and present to the Indian consumers the popular designs from around the world with special counters in the showroom that specialise in designs from the five global design centres from Tokyo to New York.

The diamond major, which currently has presence in 18 cities, would spend over Rs 60 crore for setting up `world-class' showrooms across the country, its Chief Promoter, Mr Arun Mehta, told newspersons after the inauguration of the InterGold showroom here. The company would have presence in 35 centres by the year-end.

The Chairman of GMR group of companies, Mr G.M. Rao, inaugurated the InterGold showroom at Hyderabad.
